How are my bills actually paid by BillDesk?

New Bills
Each time your biller raises a bill, BillDesk would present it electronically in your "New Bills" folder. You would receive an email notifying the arrival of the new bill. For each new bill, you can decide when to pay (the "pay-on date"), how much to pay (the "pay amount") and the bank account to pay from.

Scheduled Bills
Your can view your payment instructions under the "Scheduled Bills" folder where you can modify your instruction. On the date instructed by you, BillDesk would process the instruction. Upon successful processing, your bank account would be debited and the payment made to your biller/payee. You will receive an email informing you of the status of the instruction (success/failure) and can view it in the "Scheduled Bills" folder.

How is my Login ID and Password assigned?

BillDesk allows you to create your own Login ID and Password. Your Login ID is set as your primary email address that is specified by you during registration. For example your Login ID is set as "aditi@hotmail.com" if you specify your primary email address as "aditi@hotmail.com".

You can choose a password that is unique and known only to you. You can also change your password at any time through the "Change Password" function. To safeguard the security of your password and access to BillDesk, we recommend that you change your password at least once in every three months.

Do I need to contact my bank to use BillDesk?

To use your bank account for making online payments through BillDesk, you need to complete a payment authorisation form signed by you and certified by your bank. This authorisation allows your bank to honour the payment instructions that you make through BillDesk.

You could therefore get the bank verification (signature from the bank official) on the payment authorisation form yourself or request a BillDesk representative to obtain this verification.

Do I need to contact my biller/payee for using BillDesk?

No, you do not have to contact your biller/payee for using BillDesk. After you have registered at BillDesk, you just add your billers/payees from our list of registered billers and payees. We'll take it from there!

You can see the billers/payees you have added in the "View/Modify" folder under My Billers/Payees. Once we receive new bills from your biller, you will be informed through an email and you can start making payments.

How can BillDesk assist me in completing my registration?

A BillDesk representative would be delighted to assist you in completing all aspects of your registration. Specifically, you can request for a BillDesk representative to:

1. collect your Registration form and Payment authorisation forms from you and/or
2. obtain the bank verification for your bank account(s).

What is the Registration form?

The Registration form is your request to register at BillDesk and captures your personal profile, contact, login and bank account information. The Registration form needs to be signed by you to be validly accepted in registering at BillDesk. You can download or print this form at BillDesk during registration. Also, at your request we can send you a pre-filled Registration form.

What is the Payment authorisation form?

The Payment authorisation form is an authorization by you to your bank for operating a specific bank account to honour your payment instructions at BillDesk.

The Payment authorisation form needs to be signed by you and certified by your bank. Depending on the payment mechanism used by BillDesk for processing your transaction, this form will be an ECS (Debit Clearing) form or a Direct Debit form. View more details about ECS (Debit Clearing). You can download or print this form at BillDesk during registration. Also, at your request we can send you a pre-filled Payment authorisation form.
