Q. Who can make a payment using "Pay Online" service? A. All loan customers of HDB Financial Services who have missed their billed EMI. This facility cannot be used for foreclosure payment of your loan.
Q. What are the benefits of "Pay Online"? A. You can make your overdue payment quickly and conveniently. No longer have to write cheques / visit a branch / wait in a queue for your turn, to make payments.
Q. How do I make a payment through "Pay Online"? A. You can make an online payment thorough your bank debit card or using your internet banking account in the following steps;
  • Browse HDB Financial Services website and click on the "Pay Online" link.
  • Go through the terms and conditions and click to proceed further.
  • Enter your Loan account number twice and validate
  • Enter the required details and click on "Pay Now"
  • Make your overdue payments from your bank's Internet login.
Q. What are the pre-requisites for using the said facility? A. You should have net banking or debit card facility available with your bank. The list of possible banks is available in the drop down in the concerned screen.
Q. Do I need to register with HDB Financial Services for "Pay Online" to make payments from the account of the other bank? A. No
Q. Customers who cannot pay using this facility, what does he need to do? A. Customers can walk into their nearest HDB branch and make the payment.
Q. What type of receipt would be issued post payment? A. The customer would be provided an online receipt with transaction reference number. Customer can save the number for future reference
Q. Will I be provided any additional receipt if I have paid using this mode? A. No
Q. When would the proceeds reflect in my statement of account? A. The amount debited to your account would reflect on the Loan Statement within three working days, with a value date entered as date of payment.
Q. My EMI for the month has been returned unpaid yesterday, today I want to make the payment is it possible? A. The customer can avail this facility post HDB Financial Services receiving information about the return.The payment option requires specific authentication before proceeding with the payment. The authentications required are:-
  • Your loan account number should be entered twice for authentication.
  • In-case you have still made a payment to a wrong loan number, you can register a complaint by writing to our customer support at customer.support@hdbfs.com from your registered email ID with us or you can visit your nearest HDB branch for any assistance in this regard
Q. I am not aware of the overdue amount A. You can see your overdue amount on entering your loan account number when you are making payment online. You can write to us at customer.support@hdbfs.com from your registered email ID with us or you can visit your nearest HDB branch for enquiring on your overdue amount.
Q. Can i pay part EMI towards their loan account? A. No. The EMI amount payable should be in multiples of his current EMI or equivalent to total EMI due
Q. Can i pay overdue charges while making EMI payment? A. Yes
Q. Is there any limit on the value of a payment I can make? A. Yes, it should be less than or equal to the total EMI overdue / charges.
Q. Do I need to take permission from my bank for making a payment through "Pay Online"? A. No, if the name of your bank is available in the "Pay Online" dropdown for online payments, then your bank is already open for "Pay Online" transactions. You may have to register for Net-banking with your bank, if not registered.
Q. How will I know that the payment is made successfully? A. Post every successful transaction; you will get a success message along with a valid transaction ID. However, sometimes the transaction is successful but a transaction number cannot be displayed due to power cuts, connection failures, etc., in such cases you are advised to check your bank account credit balance to know whether the transaction has happened. You should report about it to HDB Financial Services if your loan number is not credited within three working days from the date of the actual transaction.
Q. Can I make my overdue payments through "Pay Online" if my asset is surrendered or repossessed? A. No. In that case you are advised to visit any HDB Financial Services Asset Branch to make payments.
Q. How are payments processed? A. Your payments are processed immediately after you have authorized the transaction from your other bank's valid User ID and Password. If your payment is successful, you will be informed that your payment has been accepted and a payment transaction number will be displayed with a successful transaction note. If your payment is unsuccessful, you will be informed that your transaction was unsuccessful.
Q. When can I check my HDB Financial Services loan statement to know my payment status? A. After three working days.
Q. What if the payment is not credited even after three working days? A. Please visit your nearest HDB branch to register a complaint after providing all the transaction details or write to us at customer.support@hdbfs.com from your registered mail ID with us. Our branch offices are open on all weekdays and on 3rd & 4th Saturdays between 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Q. How can I prove that I have made a payment? A. You can track your payments from your bank statement if you need to provide proof of payment. Your bank statement will show the charge to your account from the billing vendor with a transaction number. In addition to the above, you will get a valid transaction number post your successful transaction. The same can be used to track and resolve your queries and disputes.
Q. Is there any charge for using "Pay Online"? A. No
Q. Is "Pay Online" secure? A. Yes, it is secure through secure 128 bit https internet connection based on Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
Q. What if I made an error while entering my loan number and made a payment to somebody else's loan number? A. The payment option requires specific authentication before proceeding with the payment. The authentications required are:-
  • The loan number needs to be a numeric value.
  • You have to type the loan account number twice to ensure that the loan account number entered by you is correct
  • On validation, your name as available in our records will be displayed on the screen for you verify that the loan account number entered by you is correct
  • In-case you have still made a payment to a wrong loan number, you can write to our customer care at customer.support@hdbfs.com and register a complaint.
